JB Heritage Director Joanna Burton provided expert heritage assessment for a residential scheme in Uttlesford refused by the Council on the basis of its perceived impact on the Wendens Ambo Conservation Area.
The Inspector agreed with the Appellant’s heritage evidence that the scheme would have no adverse impact on the conservation area, concluding: ‘I consider that the change to the setting of the Conservation Area that would be brought about by the proposal would be incidental and inconsequential, having no effect on its character, appearance or significance’.
The appeal was allowed and costs have been awarded in favour of the Appellant.
