Expert heritage witness to a public inquiry appealing the refusal of an outline application proposing up to 170 houses on a greenfield site within the setting of a Grade I listed church.

 

In a previous role, Joanna Burton provide expert heritage evidence to the Planning Inspectorate for an appeal against the decision by Broadland District Council to refuse outline planning consent for a residential scheme in the village of Brundall with views to the church at neighbouring Blofield. The Planning Inspector agreed that the proposal would have no adverse impact on the significance of the Grade I listed building and consent was duly granted.
