Preparation of a Heritage Statement to support a planning application for the redevelopment of the former Royal Mail site with a £64 million scheme to create a new student campus within the setting of the Liverpool Maritime Mercantile City World Heritage Site and other designated heritage assets.

 

In her previous role, Joanna led on the built heritage assessment of the redevelopment of the former Royal Mail site on Copperas Hill to create a new student hub for Liverpool John Moores University. The site is centrally located, adjacent to the Grade II listed Liverpool Lime Street Station and Adelphi Hotel, and within in the setting of the World Heritage Site that encompasses much of the city centre and waterside. The Heritage Statement followed the ICOMOS guidelines, setting out an impact assessment against the attributes of Outstanding Universal Value that contribute to the international significance of the the World Heritage Site.
