Joanna Burton is the founding director. She has extensive private sector experience having most recently established and led a national heritage team at Barton Willmore, and before that leading the heritage team at Beacon Planning (now part of Turley). She is an experienced expert witness which has rigorously tested her understanding and application of heritage significance, impact assessment and the decision-making framework. Joanna started her career by undertaking a two-year apprenticeship programme at English Heritage (now Historic England).
Joanna has been a full member of the Institute of Historic Building Conservation (IHBC) since 2014 and sits on the regional IHBC committee. She is also a chartered town planner with membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute and mentor to Cambridge University students studying for the MPhil in Planning, Growth and Regeneration.
